Been feeling a bit under the weather so stayed home for a bulk of the day yesterday. Had some great bird action in the backyard. Saw a Downy Woodpecker, which are beautiful l
ittle birds with this big white patch on their backs contrasting with the black and white spots on the rest of their body. Might actually have seen two of the them, not really sure as the other one was more frantically pecking and was higher up in the tree. Migh
t have been a Red Bellied or Red Headed Woodpecker. Also saw a Dark Eyed Junco, which has this striking white beak to go along with their black upper and white lower body. Filled up the feeders as we should start seeing some of the migratory birds coming soon. Yeah, I'm a nerd, but bird watching really does calm the body down and teach some level of patience. Hoping to get some pictures depending on how jittery these birds are. Adios.
